It’s a yuletide miracle! The Pad Presents and Club Biscuit have joined forces to bring one of the UK’s finest bands, the very wonderful and swoonsome Slow Club to Bedford on Saturday the 7th December.
If that’s not all, the band will be performing their very special Christmas show in the lovely environs of St. Cuthberts Hall as a warm up for their gig at the (much, much bigger) Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London a few days later.
Like the Sheffield White Stripes, or Johnny Cash if he had been brought up o…n a diet of Pulp and the Human League, the truly brilliant Slow Club can break your heart and incite outbreaks of riotous dancing, often in the same song. As anyone who has witnessed them can testify, their Christmas shows are the stuff of legend this will be the perfect way to kick of the festive season. Just remember to pack the mistletoe.
