Akala + Filthy Funk + Zedo & the Method
We are very pleased to announce that we will be bringing MC, poet, songwriter and one of the UK’s most talented underground artists of a generation, AKALA to Bedford Esquires in June.
The former MOBO winner will be making his first ever appearance in the town, with a full live band, in support of his recent critically acclaimed album ‘Knowledge is Power II’.
Seen as one of the finest MCs of the last decade, Akala has consistently pushed the boundaries, with works including albums, theatre and poetry, cementing his place as a true artist.
Support on the night comes from one of our favourite MCs and his own live band. Zedo & The Method are f…resh off the back of a recent CoffeeShop Sessions final, and have supported the likes of RDGLDGRN, Lee Scratch Perry and Taskforce in recent years, rounding off the line up to make this one not to miss.
Just Added – Dotz’s brand new project with Peterz, FILTHY FUNK will be making their debut here in their Bedford home town. Expect a few guests, and a few surprises!
